“Summer can be a challenging time for the local blood supply, with nearly 40 percent of donations typically coming from high school and college students who are away from campus,” said Michelle Teter, Media Relations Representative for Community Blood Center of the Ozarks. “That is why it is so important for community members to step up and donate during this time. One hour and one donation have the power to save up to three lives and make a meaningful difference for friends, family and neighbors who rely on lifesaving transfusions.”
Community Blood Center of the Ozarks donors provide all the blood for patients at Cox Medical Center Branson, as well as over 40 other hospitals across the Ozarks. Forsyth area residents will have the opportunity to donate at the following location:
Monday, June 8: 12 to 5 p.m.First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall 10000 State Highway 76, Forsyth
Tuesday, June 9: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.Kimberling City Community Drive Elks Lodge – Community Room 37 Beach Boulevard, Kimberling City
Wednesday, June 17: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.Branson Community Blood Drive Branson/Lakes Area Chamber/CVB, Bloodmobile in Parking Lot4100 Gretna Rd., Branson
On behalf of local hospital patients, CBCO thanks blood donors from across the region for giving life to your community.
