‘Film Fighting’ workshop with Hong Kong fighting to be held at RecPlex

When working NY and LA film, television and theatre as a stunt/fight coordinator and sword master, Robert “Bob” Goodwin trained the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Christian Bale for Batman Begins, Robert Downey Jr and Jamie Foxx for The Soloist, Ron Perlman, Kristanna Loken and others.
Bob will be teaching a “Film Fighting” workshop for three Saturdays at the RecPlex, 1501 Branson Hills Parkway in Branson: October 4, 11 and 18 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Prepare for everything from J. Wicks and Star Wars to Robin Hood. Fight with replica swords, daggers, axes and shields. Safe weapons are furnished.
Cost is $50 for the first class or $120 for all three two-hour classes. Note: Without taking the first class, you are not eligible to take any of the other classes.
The workshop will culminate in a live, costumed performance, videotaped and watched on the large screen on Saturday, October 18, at 11 a.m.
Bob taught in Europe, Canada, the U.S. at universities, theatres, the Manhattan Class Company in New York and more. Bob co-founded the St. Louis T’ai Chi Ch’uan association in 1979, the oldest T’ai Chi organization in the U.S.
