Festus Jack’s event to benefit North Stone County Food Pantry
A special afternoon of local history, storytelling, music and community fellowship is planned for Saturday, Sept. 26, at Festus Jack’s Restaurant.
Beginning at 3 p.m., the event will feature an original production sharing the whimsical story of Festus and Liza Jack. The story will be told by their daughter, Olivia Jacks Hatfield, offering attendees a personal look into the lives and legacy of the local couple.

Local actors will bring the story to life through performances and storytelling throughout the production. The afternoon will also include an opportunity to honor the country and enjoy an old-fashioned gospel sing, creating an event centered around community, history and faith.
The event will also serve an important purpose for the North Stone County Food Pantry.
Attendees are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support the pantry’s efforts to provide assistance to local families. Monetary donations will also be accepted for those who would prefer to contribute financially.
Organizers emphasize that this is not a dinner show. However, a light concession will be available for those interested, including desserts.
Seating for the production will be limited, so reservations are preferred, although they are not required to attend. Those planning to participate are encouraged to reserve a spot in advance to help organizers prepare for the afternoon.
The Sept. 26 event offers residents an opportunity to experience a unique piece of local storytelling while supporting an organization that serves neighbors throughout North Stone County. With local performers, family history, gospel music and a chance to give back to the community, the afternoon promises to combine entertainment with a meaningful cause.
Community members are invited to mark their calendars for Saturday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. and join the gathering at Festus Jack’s Restaurant. Attendees can enjoy the production, fellowship with others and help stock the shelves of the North Stone County Food Pantry through food or monetary donations.
