Donate blood with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, July 27-29

The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, the sole supplier of blood, platelets and plasma to more than 40 area hospitals, is encouraging community members to give blood at upcoming area blood drives. The drive offers a simple way for residents to make a lifesaving impact close to home.  

Donors will receive a premium velour beach towel and can enter for a chance to win a $10,000 dream vacation to the destination of their choice.  

Community Blood Center of the Ozarks donors provide all the blood for patients at Cox Medical Center Branson, Mercy Hospital Aurora, Mercy Hospital Springfield, as well as over 40 other hospitals across the Ozarks. 

Branson West and Galena area residents will have the opportunity to donate at the following locations: 

Praise and Worship Lutheran Church, Main Room, 9138 East State Highway 76, Branson West, Monday, July 27 – 12 to 6 p.m.  

Galena Community Blood Drive, Stone County Courthouse – Courthouse Annex                 108 E. 4th Street, Galena, Wednesday, July 29 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Photo identification required. Please eat well and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating. Donors must be at least 16 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and may not have given blood in the past 56 days.
