Community invited on Jan. 18 to celebrate Pastor Kenny Robinette’s 50 years of faithful service

On Sunday, January 18, the congregation of Victor Baptist Church will honor Pastor Kenny Robinette for 50 years of dedicated ministry and leadership. The celebration will take place immediately following the morning worship service and will include a hearty chili meal shared among friends, family and community members.

When asked for his thoughts on pastoring the same church for fifty years, Kenny stated “My greatest joy has been seeing souls come to Jesus, guiding them spiritually through the leadership of the Lord, and being involved with every member as much as possible personally. The result of this has been showing God's love and compassion to one another and to the community. Victor Baptist Church is a loving and precious congregation. Our tag line is "The Church That Love Built!”

Attendees are encouraged to bring sides or accompaniments to complement the chili. “We always have plenty of food to go around,” said a church member. “This is a time to celebrate Pastor Kenny’s faithfulness — and to enjoy fellowship with Kenny and Carol’s many friends.”

All are welcome to attend. The church invites members, former congregants, and friends from near and far to join in this milestone event. Sunday school classes begin at 9:45 a.m., and worship service begins at 11 a.m.

A favorite verse of Pastor Kenny’s, Proverbs 27:17, will be highlighted during the celebration:“Iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”
