City of Branson opens applications for Tourism Community Enhancement District Board vacancy

The City of Branson has opened the application process to fill one upcoming vacancy on the Tourism Community Enhancement District (TCED) Board of Directors. The application process opened on April 23, and will close May 7 at 4:30 p.m.

The appointment will fill a term set to expire in September 2029.

The TCED Board plays a vital role in shaping the region’s tourism strategy by overseeing the use of tourism tax revenues and guiding marketing and promotional efforts that support the Branson area’s economy. Through its work, the Board helps position the community as a premier destination for visitors from across the country.

“This is an important opportunity for individuals who are passionate about Branson and the continued success of our tourism industry,” said Larry Milton. “Board members are entrusted with helping guide decisions that impact our local economy and the visitor experience.”

Applicants should have an understanding of marketing, tourism, finance or related fields, along with a strong interest in supporting the Branson community.

The TCED is a regional district that brings together tourism partners across multiple jurisdictions, including the City of Branson, the Village of Indian Point and portions of Taney and Stone counties. The Board consists of seven members appointed by local governing bodies.

The Branson Board of Aldermen will review applications and make the final appointment. Applications and additional information are available on the City of Branson website or through the City Clerk’s Office at 110 W. Maddux Street, Suite 205.
