Branson High School’s The Harbor Food Pantry expands access to community
Branson High School’s The Harbor, a resource pantry established earlier this school year to support Branson Public Schools students and families, is expanding its reach to the broader community. Beginning September 29, The Harbor opened its doors to community members on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45-4 p.m. when school is in session.

Since the start of the 2026-2027 school year, The Harbor has served nearly 100 Branson Public Schools families. The expansion of community hours will provide an additional resource for families and community members who may need access to food, household essentials and school supplies.
“We are incredibly grateful for the response to The Harbor since we opened,” said Branson High School Principal Dr. Sara Strohm. “We know there are families in our community who may need a little extra support from time to time, and we want The Harbor to be a place where people can come without judgement. Our goal is to meet people where they are and help remove any barriers standing between our students and their opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.”
The pantry is made possible through Christian Action Ministries, as well as Together for Kids, a partnership between the Silver Dollar City Foundation and Care to Learn, and is managed by the Branson Care to Learn chapter. Branson High School staff and students, along with these community partners, have helped establish and stock the pantry.
“We are so thankful for the many people who have collaborated to make The Harbor possible,” Strohm said. “This is truly a community effort.”
The Harbor is located on the lower level of Branson High School, 935 Buchanan Road. To help maintain the safety and security of students and staff, community access to The Harbor is limited to the designated Tuesday and Thursday hours. Visitors should park in the back lot of Branson High School and enter through the Attendance Office doors, where a Harbor team member will be available to assist.
No income verification is required, and there are no eligibility requirements to access the resource. For more information about The Harbor or how to support the pantry, contact Branson High School at 417-334-6511.
