Appointed as interim City Attorney in August 2026, Kondro has served as a legal advisor to city leadership, providing guidance on municipal matters and helping departments navigate complex legal issues. His appointment provides professional continuity while continuing to support sound decision-making and responsible city governance.

“Thomas has demonstrated the integrity, sound judgment and commitment to public service that are essential to this position,” said Branson Mayor Larry Milton. “He understands the legal challenges facing our municipal government and the importance of providing clear, practical guidance. We’re pleased to have him continue serving our community in this important role.”

Kondro’s public-sector experience includes service as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri along with work in the Taney County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. He also has served as an Assistant City Attorney for Branson and was a member of the Springfield Board of Adjustment from 2022 to 2024. His background in state and local government provides valuable expertise in the legal and regulatory matters facing our municipality.

A member of the Missouri Bar since 2010, Kondro earned his law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, where he served as an executive editor of the law journal. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University.

“I appreciate the confidence the Board of Aldermen and city leadership have placed in me,” Kondro said. “It’s a privilege to serve the City of Branson, and I look forward to continuing to support the community and its leaders as we work to serve our residents, businesses and visitors.”

As City Attorney, Kondro provides legal counsel to the Mayor, Board of Aldermen, City Administrator and City departments. His responsibilities include reviewing contracts, ordinances and resolutions, advising on legal compliance, overseeing City prosecution, litigation and representing the City’s interests in all legal matters.

Kondro’s appointment reflects the City’s commitment to experienced, effective legal counsel in support of Branson’s continued growth and operations.
