Antonya Smith to sing at Christian Women's Connection Luncheon

            Local resident Antonya Robinson Smith will lift spirits with her beautiful singing voice at the Christian Women’s Connection Luncheon Wednesday, September 9, at the Pointe Royale Clubhouse ballroom.

Antonya was born in San Diego, CA. She graduated from John Robert Powers Modeling School, and then studied at Berea College of the Bible in Springfield, MO, where she majored in psychology and religion. She was ordained for ministry and later pursued pre-med studies at the University of El Paso, TX.

She was recruited by the U.S. Navy and assigned to the Great Lakes School for Emergency Medicine where she obtained an emergency medical license.

Antonya became the first black international representative for Campus Crusade for Christ, and was also involved in ministry for Youth for Christ. She has pastored three churches, and started “Kids Unlimited Inc., serving as its president and CEO for 20 years. The program offered over 20 musical courses. She also built and organized The Melody Ranch School of Music and Performing Arts.

She retired to Branson about 20 years ago, after her husband of 34 years passed away. She is a retired Navy veteran. In 2022 she married Dr. Dale J. Smith, United States Air Force, retired. When Dale and Antonya sing together, they call themselves Touch of Inspiration.
