Does your favorite cookbook tell you how to remove feathers and down from a duck?

I had never sat and chatted with a person with one leg before. I had never even thought to thank God for my two legs.

I wipe fifteen to thirty of them away with a damp cloth, to their drowning demise – down the drain . . . at least a hundred times now.
