Sixth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Taney County

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) announces the sixth case of COVID-19 in Taney County. The individual is a contact of another confirmed case of COVID-19 in Taney County. All those in close contact with the individual have been notified. At this time, the risk to the community is determined to be low due to the individuals limited contact in the community.

Preventive measures are the best way protect you and your loved ones from COVID-19. Preventive measures include staying at home, unless leaving for necessities such as food or medical needs, social distancing, and practicing good hand hygiene. Per new CDC guidelines, additional measures include wearing a non-medical face mask in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain, such as grocery stores or pharmacies, and especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
