Police Department offers online records requests

Submitted to

Branson Globe

The Branson Police Department, as of April 6, offers an easy and convenient way to request police records online. This online help makes looking up records more efficient and helps eliminate the need to have residents physically go to the Police Department. In most cases, a trip to the Police Department will no longer be needed to obtain police reports.

The records requests are available at the Branson Police Department’s website, www.bransonmo.gov/216/Police. Once there,

click on the “Records Requests” tab at the bottom of the page, log in or “register” if it is your first time then create the request and pay any related fees for the records. Then you will receive the records through a secure portal.

This is a way to get crime reports, traffic crash reports and any other reports or information from the Branson Police Department without having to leave your home.

This new feature is in addition to the “Report a Crime/Accident” feature that the Branson Police Department rolled out last week. It allows citizens to report certain incidents on-line. Not only will these changes assist the community with avoiding personal contact during the COVID-19 pandemic, but they will continue to enable more efficiency for our community and visitors once the pandemic has passed.
