CoxHealth turns on Christmas lights to spread cheer
Submitted to Branson Globe
Flowering trees and warm breezes make it seem like the holiday season is far away, but at CoxHealth, festive cheer will soon shine: Christmas lights around the hospital area will be switched on in the coming days to help remind of joy during this stressful season in life.
“In this time of uncertainty, these lights signify our sense of joy, hope and faith,” said Steve Edwards, president and CEO of CoxHealth. “We are grateful to one of our volunteers, Marilyn Prosser, for suggesting the idea to us. We hope the lights will help bring smiles to members of our community.”
Lights will shine at all CoxHealth hospitals throughout southwest Missouri in the coming days. They will remain on after dark for the foreseeable future.
