In an effort to practice social distancing while also maintaining time sensitive clinical services, all screening mammograms at CoxHealth will be postponed starting March 19 for 30 days.
The change only involves screening mammograms. Non-screening breast exams such as diagnostic mammograms, follow-up appointments and biopsies, will continue as scheduled and ordered.
Patients who have a mammogram scheduled in the coming weeks will be contacted to cancel and reschedule.
This change involves all CoxHealth locations where mammograms are performed. Note that in line with this change, the event for free screening mammograms scheduled for March 19 at Cox Monett and April 15 at the Breast Care Clinic in Springfield have also been cancelled.
As response to the epidemic evolves, this approach may be adjusted or refined.
